Chase Farlow set a new record for boys high jump in the High School Invitational at 6 feet 9 inches, one notch better than the previous 6' 8" record.

UNC outfielder Alex Coleman (SWR '21) was selected to the softball Preseason All-Conference Team announced by the league Thursday. In her junior season (2024), Coleman led the ACC with a .436 batting average and was tops in several team statistics of the Tar Heels.
North Carolina opens the season the weekend of Friday, February 7th at Auburn University's Tiger Classic.

January 3, 2025 – PROVIDENCE GROVE FOOTBALL
Providence Grove High School announced today that Athletic Director Cody Moran has been named the head coach of Patriots football.
In the announcement from the school administration, Moran was described as “the ideal choice to lead our football program” due to his “knowledge of the game, his commitment to our students, and his passion for the community.”
Moran has been with the Providence Grove football program, among other duties, since 2019 and has held the AD position for the last two years. He will be the fourth coach in four years to guide the football program and follows long-time coach Mark Heilig who took over the position of interim head coach this past August due to late summer personnel changes at the school.
